You already know how a summer Saturday works inside the gate. Coffee on the lanai, a lap around Lake Como on the paddleboard, a walk down the white sand, then dinner at the Beach Clubhouse or a Blue Water Beach Grill happy hour with the pavilion doors thrown open. The rhythm of Miromar Lakes in July is not a mystery to anyone who lives here.
The rhythm five minutes outside the gate is what's changed. In the last eighteen months, the short arc between Corkscrew Road and U.S. 41 has picked up a serious dining bench, a working art gallery, a full slate of weeknight events, and enough new retail that the old default of driving down to Waterside Shops in Naples for a nice dinner is starting to feel unnecessary. This is a resident's guide to that arc, because the interesting news about Miromar Lakes this summer is not inside the property line.
The Coconut Point turnover is real, and it's mostly food
Coconut Point has been in the middle of a tenant refresh that reads more like a re-launch than a series of updates. The dining slots that sat vacant after the pandemic and Ian are being taken by operators with actual regional pedigree, not chain fill-ins.

Real Seafood is the one worth the earliest reservation. It replaced a twenty-year North Naples original, and the dinner-only room is open 4-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 4-9 p.m. Sunday, with an outdoor bar happy hour from 4 to 6. That happy hour window is the kind of thing that only works when you live within ten minutes.
PJK, from the Paul Fleming group, is a shorter drive for the same experience people were making appointments for at the downtown Naples original since 2023. The interior has a flowering cherry tree centerpiece and an open kitchen sight line that's more Los Angeles than Estero.
Retail worth stopping for on the way home
The dining story gets the headlines, but the store roster is filling in fast enough to matter for the actual errands you already run. Four merchants are opening at Coconut Point in June and July: Kendra Scott, Brooks Brothers, Rowan (an ear-piercing studio staffed by licensed nurses using hypoallergenic products), and LaserAway (a medspa offering hair removal, tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation). Starbucks is reopening this month following renovations, Estero Bay Olive Oil and Tea is relocating to a new and expanded spot this summer, and Toy World moves to a larger location in September 2026. Nordstrom Rack celebrated its grand opening Oct. 2 in the junior anchor space that most recently was Christmas Tree Shops.
Two announcements are worth putting on the calendar rather than the map. Shake Shack is opening at the local open air mall next year. JET SET Pilates is targeted to open its modern Pilates studio at Coconut Point in the first quarter of 2026, offering high-intensity, low-impact full-body workouts to DJ-curated playlists.
A working art gallery, tucked into the outlet mall
This one surprised us. Miromar Outlets announced the opening of Coco Art Gallery, a cooperative gallery of the Art Council of Southwest Florida, debuting in May 2026. It is not a boutique with a few framed prints. The displays are only up for a few weeks and then new one-of-a-kind pieces replace them, and you can buy original art made by local artists chosen for the gallery.
For a community whose interior design vernacular runs to Juan Montoya at the Beach Clubhouse and Ralph Lauren Home furniture in the library, having a rotating original-art gallery inside a fifteen-minute radius is a genuinely useful thing. If you have been sending guests to Naples 5th Avenue South for the gallery walk portion of their visit, that's a habit worth revising.
Weeknights that don't need a reservation
The Miromar Lakes social calendar is famous internally. Throughout the year, more than 300 events fill the calendar, and most residents don't need a suggestion for how to fill a Saturday. The gap is the ordinary Wednesday in August when you're not up for the Clubhouse but you also don't want to cook.
810 Entertainment inside Miromar Outlets has quietly become the answer. Midweek Music Bingo Bash runs Wednesdays 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., mixing chart-topping hits, throwback anthems, trivia twists, and interactive bingo rounds. No Limit Pub Poker Tour runs every Friday at 810 Entertainment, with free Texas Hold 'Em tournament times at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Suite 50. Beyond the events calendar, 810 offers multiple bowling lanes, billiard tables, full-service bars, an arcade, axe throwing, virtual darts and sports simulators, and the milkshake bar (twelve signature builds topped with donuts, churros, and candied bacon) is a legitimate reason to take grandchildren after dinner.
The point is not that any of this competes with the Beach Clubhouse. The point is that it exists at all, ten minutes from your front gate, on the nights when you want low-stakes.
What to actually put on the calendar
A few dated things worth writing down before the season crowd arrives.
- Saturday, October 10, 2026, 9:30 a.m.–noon. The Shop, Dine & Dash 5K at Miromar Outlets, with check in beginning at 9:30 a.m. located at 810 Entertainment, Suite 50, is a family-friendly race that invites runners and walkers.
- Saturday, November 7. The Walk for T1D Breakthroughs, hosted by Breakthrough T1D Southern Florida, is a community morning at Miromar Outlets dedicated to raising awareness and funding research for Type 1 Diabetes.
- November. Casa Blu opens next to Starbucks at Coconut Point. If you liked Amfora, the space has been reset for a new Mediterranean-leaning concept.
- Rolling through summer. Tommy Bahama Outlets is running dated in-store promotions, and a broader clearance event is offering up to 70% off in-store through mid-July, alongside new styles on sale for summer occasions. Worth planning around before the seasonal residents return.
Why the outside-the-gate story matters
The interior amenities at Miromar Lakes have not changed. You can still stroll along 3 miles of private, white sand beach and watch the sun set as day steadily turns into night. The Beach Club is located directly on the water's edge, offering indoor and outdoor gourmet dining, a private beach-side dining room, an indoor/outdoor bar lounge, a library, billiard room, card room, 50-seat theater and business center. That is not the news.
The news is the density of the halo. Five years ago, the practical answer to "where do we take out-of-town family for a nice dinner outside the club" was to point the car south and lose an hour on I-75. In the last eighteen months that answer has quietly become: pick between two Mediterranean-inflected brunch and dinner rooms at Coconut Point, an actual seafood house with a happy hour, a Chinese kitchen that would hold its own on 5th Avenue, a working art co-op, and a bowling-and-poker room for the nights when nobody wants to be fancy. That is a real change to what daily life at this address looks like, and it is worth knowing about before your first houseguest of the fall lands at RSW.
